Happy 4th Birthday, Zach! May 16, 2007

Hard to believe our youngest grandson turned 4 on his birthday. How can this be?? Seems like it was just yesterday that we went to the hospital for his birth. Ryan called to invite Rocke and I down on Wednesday, May 16th, to help celebrate Zach's birthday with him, his sister, Naomi, Ryan, Sarah and Grandma and Grandpa Burt.

We arrived and Zach met us at the door, anxiously waiting for us, so we could start the celebration. Grandma and Grandpa Burt had already arrived.

The first thing for Zach to do was to have a photo session with his mom. Sarah and Zach have their picture taken together every year in their back yard on Zach's birthday. Once the photo session was done, Zach wanted to open his gifts. It was fun to watch and listen to Zach as he opened each of his gifts. He was never disappointed and always had an excited response for every gift. What a joy it was seeing him excited and thankful for every gift he received.

After his gifts were opened, we were ready for birthday cake and ice cream. Zach's cake was very special this year because he helped his mom bake and decorate it.
