Visit to Idaho in August, 2001

I get to travel to Boise and other parts of Idaho a few times per year and occasionally get to work with people from one of the factories I represent. This August, I worked with Ed Metzger from Biofit, in my opinion the best industrial chair manufacturer in the business, headquartered in Ohio.

Mary and I met Ed for dinner on Sunday night, the 19th, at a local restaurant after driving from Portland to Boise. The following morning, we drove to Hailey, Idaho (where Bruce Willis owns a bunch of property) to call on the school district there. The drive was beautiful (not too many people in between). After meeting that the Blaine County School District, we drove back to Boise to meet with the Kuna School District. By then the day was pretty much "shot".

When we go to Boise, we also get to visit some of my favorite "cousins" of Caroline's. Julie's mom was married to Caroline's mom's sister's adopted son? Dallas and Julie (last name Cravens) have lived in Boise for forever. Their daughter Melissa couldn't make it to pizza with us the evening we spent with them. Ed, Dallas, Julie, Mary and I went to pizza. We had a great time!

We made callsl all day Tuesday and went out to dinner in Boise on Tuesday night. The restaurant we chose by accident was fabulous! On Wednesay morning, Ed shuttled to the airport for his trip home and Mary & I drove back to Portland.
