Sydney's Birthday - January 2, 2007

We started out our new year helping Sydney celebrate her second birthday. Sydney turned two on January 2nd and celebrated with two birthday parties. One party was held at the recreation center in Beaverton with her playmates and friends. On January 7th, there was another party to celebrate with family members.

Rocke and I arrived at Sydney's house for the family birthday celebration around 1:00 p.m. on January 7th. Her Grandma Gold and Great Grandma Bea were already there. Heather had the house nicely decorated with pink and white balloons and streamers for Sydney's birthday party . We had fun visiting with everyone until the rest of the family members arrived. Uncle Ryan, Aunt Sarah, cousins Zach and Naomi, and Uncle Josh arrived to join in on the fun. (Grandpa Gold was working and could not attend the party).

Rocke and I enjoyed watching the kids playing. We enjoyed watching the grandkids play, too! After visiting for some time, we got to watch Sydney open her gifts (she wasn't really into it yet) and later enjoyed watching Sydney blow out her 2 candles and dig into her chocolate cupcake. We joined her in eating a birthday cupcake and drinking a soft drink while we continued visiting with everyone.
