Another View of Upper Falls

The Spokane Falls, like much of Eastern Washington, were formed and shaped by some of the most incredible floods ever to occur on Earth. During North America's last great ice age 13-15 thousand years ago, an ice sheet crept south into the what is now the Idaho panhandle, and blocked the mouth of the Clark Fork River causing the flooding.
