Sarah's Birthday - August 2005
Ryan was in charge of making plans to celebrate Sarah's birthday on Saturday, August 6th (her actually birth date is August 9th). Robin, Mary and the girls would be here to join in on the celebration. Everyone met down at Ryan & Sarah's house around 5 p.m. for the birthday celebration. We enjoyed pizza, birthday cake and ice cream.
Rocke and I were the first to arrive at Ryan and Sarah's house and enjoyed visiting with them and Zach before everyone else arrived. Birthday guests included Sarah's mom and dad, George and JoAnn Burt, Robin, Mary, Erin, Kate, Megan, Ross, Heather, Austin, Sydney, Rocke and me. We all went to the backyard to visit and watch the kids play in the beach ball sprinkler, on the swing set and at the water table. We, also had fun watching the "big" kids at play.
Sarah and Ryan got the pizza ready and we all enjoyed a pizza dinner before having some birthday cake and ice cream. Then it was time for everyone to gather and watch Sarah, as she opened her birthday gifts. First, a Harry Potter book, second, a Harry Potter book, and a third . . . a Harry Potter book. I think Sarah must have wanted a "Harry Potter" book for her birthday. We all had a big laugh about how long it was going to take her to read all three books (She returned two of the books). Thanks to Robin, Mary, the girls and Sarah's parents, George and JoAnn, Sarah got something besides Harry Potter books. Ryan and JoAnn lit the candles on the cake and then we sang "Happy Birthday" (tradationally off key). Ten it was time to eat the cake and ice cream. After a little more visiting, it was time to call it a day. It was a wonderful birthday celebration and time together with family.
