Rocke's Birthday - February 16th, 2003

Didn't we just do this last week? It's hard to believe we're celebrating another birthday for Rocke.

On Saturday, February 22, after we got back from California, I had a birthday party for Rocke. We had celebrated his birthday with Robin, Mary and the girls, now it was time to celebrate with Ross, Ryan and their families.

I had fun buying some decorations (streamers and balloons) and decorating the house for his party, and made him a Lemon cake with Lemon frosting. We visited with Ryan and Sarah, who showed up first, until Ross, Heather and Austin arrived. After catching up on all the news from each other, and telling the kids about our trip down to see Robin, Mary and the girls, it was time to open gifts. Rocke had lots of fun opening his gift and showing them to us.

After gift opening, it was time to light the candles on the birthday cake and see if Rocky had enough wind to blow them out. Celebrating his 62nd birthday meant there were lots of candles to blow out. No, I made it easy for Rocke, I got the numbers 6 and 2, so he did not have to work at blowing out the candles.
