Easy Candy Yams

6 to 7 cups chopped sweet potatoes
(Use cooked yams or canned yams, drained). (Also, instead of chopped yams, you can mash them).
1 (12 oz) jar caramel topping
1/8 cup brown sugar
1 cup miniature marshmallows

Preheat oven to 325 degrees

Place drained canned yams in an 9x9 inch square baking dish. Pan doesn't have to be squared.

Grease sides of pan with butter to keep marshmallows from sticking to sides of pan.

Pour caramel over potatoes. Sprinkle with sugar and dot with butter.

Bake in preheated oven 30 minutes, until potatoes are hot and mixture is bubbly.

Remove from oven and sprinkle marshmallows evenly over potatoes.

Return to oven until marshmallows ar melted and browned, 5 to 10 minutes more.
