Ingredients:
Onion, 1/4 cup chopped
Bell pepper, 1/4 cup diced
Mushrooms, 1/4 cup sliced or chopped (Optional)
Ground beef, 1 lb, lean
Tomatoes, 1 small can, sliced or whole (if whole, cut into pieces)
Chili Powder, 2 Tbsp, or to taste
Salt
Spray a skillet with no-stick cooking spray. Quickly saute onion and bell pepper,
then add and saute mushrooms. Set aside. Brown ground beef and drain fat. In
a deep saucepan or stockpot, combine browned beef, onion, pepper, mushrooms,
tomatoes, and enough water to achieve desired thickness. Blend in chili powder
and salt to taste. Simmer for 30 minutes
