Wash, cap and slice pint of strawberries. Put aside.
Mix together:
3/4 cup sugar
2 Tbsp cornstarch
1 box regular size strawberry Jello
1 cup water
Bring to a boil then turn to low immediately. You must turn the heat down or you can't tell when the liquid gets transparent, which takes about two minutes. After it becomes transparent, put in the strawberries. It is ready to pour into a baked deep dish pie crust. After it has congealed over-night, then top with 9 oz. whipped topping.
