MUD BARS

1 cup plus 2 Tbsp all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
1 (12 oz) pkg (2 cups) Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels, divided
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In large bowl, combine brown sugar, butter and vanilla extract; beat until creamy. Add eggs; beat well. Gradually add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in 1 1/2 cups Nestle Toll House semi-sweet morsels and nuts. Spread into foil-lined 9 inch square baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 23 to 25 minutes. Remove from oven. Sprinkle remaining 2/3 cup Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels over top. Allow to stand until morsels become shiny. Spread with spatula. Let cool; chill 5 to 10 minutes to set chocolate. Cut into 3 x 1 1/2 inch bars.
