COFFEE CAKE

2 cups sifted flour
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup margarine or butter

Cut margarine into flour and sugar until rather fine. Take out 1 cup of crumbs for topping.

To remaining crumbs add:

1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup milk
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup raisins which have been soaked in hot water, drained
1 cups finely chopped nuts

Pour batter into greased and floured pan, 8 x 12 inch long.
Sprinkle crumbs mixture over top of batter
Sprinkle entire top generously with cinnamon.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
