Bottom Layer:
1 cup sugar
½ cup butter
4 eggs, beaten
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 can (16 oz) chocolate syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
Middle Layer:
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 Tbsp creme de menthe
Glaze:
1 pkg (6 oz) chocolate chip
6 Tbsp butter
Bottom Layer: Combine all ingredients and put into a greased 9 x 13 inch oven-proof
dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Middle Layer: Mix all ingredients and spread over cake that has cooled.
Glaze: Melt chocolate chips and butter and pour over middle layer. (This may
be melted in a microwave oven for approximately 2 minutes). Refrigerate.
This freezes well.
