Mix 2 cups sugar, 2 cups flour
Melt and bring to boil:
1/2 cup Crisco
1 stick butter
4 Tbsp cocoa
1 cup water
Pour into flour and sugar. Add 2 eggs, 1/2 cup buttermilk, and 1 tsp soda. Bake at 350 degrees 30 to 40 minutes in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Make icing 5 minutes before cake is done.
Icing:
1 stick butter
4 Tbsp cocoa
6 Tbsp can milk.
Bring to boil and put in 1 box powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla and 2 cups chopped pecans. Mix well and spread on hot cake.
