2 cups flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
5 good sized apples, chopped

Sift dry ingredients and set aside. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, and mix thoroughly. Add apples and mix thoroughly. Add dry ingredients and mix. Pour into a 9 x 12 inch greased baking pan. Bake 40 to 50 minutes at 350 degrees. Good served warm with ice cream and/or caramel sauce
