Kings For A Day - Father's Day - June 19th, 2005

Ryan called Rocke to make plans for a Father's Day celebration down at his home in Salem. We were invited to join Ryan, Sarah, and George and JoAnn Burt for Sunday Services at their church. Ryan would be playing a solo during the service. We always enjoy joining them for church and especially when we get to hear Ryan play his trumpet.

Sunday morning, Rocke and I drove down to Salem to meet everyone at the First Presbyterian Church in Salem. After enjoying the Sunday service at the church, Rocke and I stopped by the grocery store to pick up a few items before arriving at Ryan and Sarah's home. We were the first to arrive, so we enjoyed visiting with Ryan and Sarah and playing with Zach before everyone else got there. Ross, Heather, Austin, Sydney, George and JoAnn arrived and we all continued our catching up with what has been going on in everyone's busy life.

Then it was time for Ryan to start cooking the hamburgers on the grill. Everyone helped to get things ready for the delicious Father's Day meal. Rocke and I supplied the drinks and chips. JoAnn outdid herself as always and brought some potato salad, fruit salad and some deviled eggs. Ross and Heahter supplied the dessert, watermelon and ice cream. Ryan and Sarah furnished the hamburger, vegetable dish and other things to go with it. What a good meal.

After lunch, time for the "Kings For The Day", Rocke and George to open their gifts. Rocke opened his gift from Ross, Heather, Austin and Sydney. A very cute card with some Fast Cash scratch Lotto tickets. Ryan, Sarah and Zach gave both Rocke and George a picture and picture frame. The picture to Rocke was of Ryan, Zach and Rocke holding hands and walking in the park. An awesome picture. The picture to George was of George, Zach and JoAnn at Zach's birthday party. Another awesome picture. Both "Kings For The Day" were very happy with their day and gifts.
